PC SpeedScan Pro User Guide

1. Open PC SpeedScan Pro

Double click the PC SpeedScan Pro icon on your desktop

[ Or ] Select PC SpeedScan Pro from your Programs folder —
Go to Start Menu > All Programs > Ascentive > PC SpeedScan Pro

2. Thank you for trying PC SpeedScan Pro!

Click the Scan Now or Next button to find out how many registry errors and invalid files it found that may be corrupting your PC.

PC SpeedScan Pro will start your error scan and check the following 8 areas for errors to remove:

1. Registry errors
2. Missing Windows shortcuts
3. Missing shared files
4. Missing application path
5. Missing fonts
6. Missing Help files
7. Invalid File Extensions
8. Device Driver errors

If PC SpeedScan has found that you have errors, click the Review Errors button.

4. Review Errors

PC SpeedScan will show you the errors found on your PC. By removing these errors, there can be an improvement in the startup, running and overall performance of your PC.

Click the Fix now button to repair your PC.

5. Login

After clicking the Fix Now button, you will be prompted to enter your login information or to Get an Account Now!

First Time Users who have never
logged in: A registration reminder will pop-up in a new window. To repair your PC, you will need to sign up for an PC SpeedScan account.

Active Customers: Enter your login information using the Username and Password you created when making your purchase.

* Logins are case-sensitive and must be entered exactly as it was created.

Important: An Internet connection is required to verify account information and to repair your PC.

6. Fix PC Errors

After logging in with a valid account, the Fix PC Errors screen will display the errors found that are ready to be removed. If you don't want to remove any specific file, you can uncheck the box to the left of the errors.

Undone/Restore
Check the box on the bottom-left side of PC SpeedScan Pro: Allow these changes to be “undone” in the future (Recommended) to allow these changes to be restored in the future.

Note: Please see the Options page for more information about the Restore feature.

Click the Fix errors button to start repair.

7. Errors on your PC fixed successfully.

PC SpeedScan Pro returned your PC to its original high performance before registry errors appeared. Click OK.

8. Undo and Restore Options (Optional)

What options would you like running?

Click the Options button, and then click on Restore previously removed Files and registry settings.

Click on the Pull down Menu located to the right of Select a Fix Date-Time for more details: and find the date that you would like to restore the files from. Click the Restore button.

9. Set Scan Schedule (Optional)

Click the Options button, and then click on Set Scan Schedule.

After you set your schedule, click the Set button.

Click the Clear Schedule button if you'd prefer to manually scan your PC.

10. Start PC SpeedScan Pro with Windows (Optional)

If you would like PC SpeedScan Pro to launch at Windows startup, click the Options button in the top menu and make sure that Start PC SpeedScan Pro with Windows (Recommended) is checked. This option is pre-checked by default.

Uncheck the box if you don't want PC SpeedScan Pro to launch with Windows startup.
