Product SupportActiveTime User Guide* ActiveTime is no longer sold or supported. Quick-Start Learning Manuals3. What is a Timeserver?Normally, it does not matter which Time Server you have selected as they will all give you the correct Atomic Time, no matter where you are on the planet. We let you choose from a list of Time Servers in the event that the one you are using is down or unreachable for some reason.
This drop down menu will let you choose from a list of time servers. You do not have to choose a Time Server that is located close to you or in your time zone. Because time is the same all over the world, it does not matter which timeserver you select. You will only need to change Time Servers if ActiveTime informs you that a connection timed out (see below).
When you click on Synchronize Time, ActiveTime will (1) get the Atomic Time from the Time Server that you have chosen, (2) check the time zone you have set in Windows, and (3) change your system clock accordingly.
