2. Automatic Sweeps

Note: Before you can activate the Startup, Shutdown, or Scheduler functions via the Options Menu, you will need to choose Sweep settings first under the Windows and Internet tabs.

(See part 1 of Sweep Options if you have not already selected some Sweep options for the Scheduler or the Startup and Shutdown Sweeps.)

To activate the Scheduler, Shutdown, or Startup modes in ActiveSweep, click on the Options tab, and then in the new window, the Scheduler tab.

On this screen, you will see a checkbox for each type of Sweep, as well as a slider bar for the Scheduler.

Check off which types of Sweeps you want activated. For the Scheduled Sweeps, you will also want to move the slider bar to adjust how often ActiveSweep performs a Scheduled Sweep of your system.

Lastly, you will probably also want to make sure the checkbox for Hide progress status when running scheduler is checked. Otherwise, you will be interrupted with a popup window every time ActiveSweep performs a Sweep.

You now have ActiveSweep's automatic Sweep settings activated!

Remember, ActiveSweep's “Sweeps” will be different for each type of Sweep Mode you have activated. To change what tasks each type of Sweep ActiveSweep performs for each of these Sweep Modes, click on the Windows and Internet tabs.
