Optimizing with WinRocket 2005
Have you tried all the options on the WinRocket QuickOptimize screen? One or more of these should noticeably improve your computer's speed without requiring you to modify anything on the Detailed Optimization panel. To do this, select the phrase that best describes how you use your computer:
- I have a normal, everyday system.
- I have and frequently use a CD writer.
- I frequently run multiple large applications at once.
- I have very little memory (24MB or under).
- I frequently play graphically intense games.
- I have an unstable system that crashes frequently.
- All other WinRocket options slow down my system.
After choosing the best description, select your operating system and click "Optimize Now!"
Don't be afraid to try a setting that does not exactly describe your usage because it may actually be the optimal setting for your system. You can always go back and optimize with a different option if it does not work.
You can also experiment with settings on the Detailed Optimization panel by moving the slider bar with your mouse. New values for each item will show up in the boxes to the right. After you have selected values, you can click "Optimize Now" to have the program apply your custom settings.
