IV. Speed Modes Up Close
23. Intro to Modes - Speed Modes
The key to ActiveSpeed is in its selection of Speed Modes. The Speed Modes are the various ways in which the program optimizes your connection, boosting your Internet speed. There are three Speed Modes, and while they are all designed to do the same thing-give you the fastest possible Internet experience-they each perform a little differently.
Intelligent Mode
The Intelligent Mode is what many ActiveSpeed customers use to optimize their connections. This mode is powered by ActiveSpeed's patent-pending Intelligent Optimization Engine, which actually learns about your connection and usage patterns, then determines the best way to boost your speed using what knowledge it has gathered. With this mode, ActiveSpeed adapts to increase your speed no matter what you do on the Internet!
QuickOptimize Mode
If the Intelligent Mode doesn't impress you, then you may want to give QuickOptimize Mode a try. This mode allows you to choose from six optimization methods, each of them, each of them a unique way to boost your Internet. What's more is that you can use this right away without having to go through the lengthy Learning Phase of the Intelligent Mode, especially if you have to switch connection types repeatedly (more on that later).
Standard Mode
For those who would rather let Windows decide how best to optimize your connection, there is the standard mode, which allows Windows to control your optimization settings in order to determine the best possible speed increase for you.
