25. Intelligent Mode - Step-By-Step
1) Open ActiveSpeed
By default, ActiveSpeed should open for you automatically when you turn on your computer. If it doesn’t, just double click on the ActiveSpeed icon on your Desktop, or click on:
Start --> Programs --> Ascentive --> ActiveSpeed |

2) Sign In to ActiveSpeed
Use the username and password you chose when you placed your order to sign in to ActiveSpeed.
Save password check box: Check this box if you would like ActiveSpeed to remember your user name and password for easier login.
Auto login check box: Check this box if you would like ActiveSpeed to automatically login whenever you start Windows.
Click here if you are having trouble finding or using your username and password.

3) Open the Speed Manager
Then choose Intelligent Mode from the Speed Manager Window.

4) Activate Intelligent Mode
Choose the way you connect to the Internet (Dial up modem, cable, DSL, etc.) and click on Activate Intelligent Mode. There are two phases of the Intelligent Mode, the Learning Phase and the Power Phase.

5) Finish the Learning Phase
Make sure that you complete each step of the Learning Phase of the Intelligent Mode, you wont see a speed boost until you do.
Remember, during the Learning Phase, your Internet will be slower while ActiveSpeed runs network tests. Your computer will need to restart 5 or 6 times before ActiveSpeed reaches the Power Phase and you have your speed boost.
