back - next   IV. Speed Modes Up Close 28. Intelligent Mode - Frequent Rebooting? Of course, you may ask why ActiveSpeed must reboot so many times during the Learning Phase. This is due to a limitation of Windows and not ActiveSpeed. In order for some Windows registry changes to take effect, the system must shut down or restart. This is common in everything from optimizing your computer's performance to installing software of any kind. Once the Learning Phase ends, however, you won't have to restart your computer again during the Power Phase.   back - next
