3. How does ActiveSpeed Work?
Simply put, when you use ActiveSpeed, you are changing the way your computer exchanges data (your email, web pages, etc.) over your Internet connection. ActiveSpeed will run several tests and check to see how you use your Internet so it can adjust your Internet settings for the most efficient outcome.
While ActiveSpeed does a lot more, the most basic and most easily understood settings are the MTU, PMTU, RWIN, and TTL settings. These are the four key settings in controlling the way data is delivered to your computer over the Internet.
* It is not necessary for you to understand these settings! ActiveSpeed can handle all of this for you at the touch of a button.
