III. Buttons & Functions

21. Settings Tab - Sign In

There are three powerful options listed under the Sign In screen:

Start ActiveSpeed when I start my computer. This option is activated (checked) by default. Keeping this box checked means that ActiveSpeed will load up when your computer is turned on or restarted. Note: this does not mean you are automatically signed in! See below.

Save Password. With this option checked, you won't have to keep typing your password in every time you want to log in to ActiveSpeed; ActiveSpeed will remember it for you. This box will need to be checked if you wish to have ActiveSpeed automatically log you in as well (see below).

Auto Login. Check this box to have ActiveSpeed automatically log in when the program loads. Note that you will need to have your password saved for this function to work (see above). This option works great when you have Start ActiveSpeed when I start my computer checked!

Proxy Server Info

If you are behind a firewall or proxy server (most people are not), you will need to enter in your proxy information to give ActiveSpeed access to the Internet. Ascentive does not have this information for you. To get this information, please see your Internet Service Provider or network administrator.

For reference, ActiveSpeed connects to Ascentive over port 80.
